Privacy and Cookies

What we collect, why, and where it is kept. Short and plain.

In short

Ultraswall asks for as little as possible. You sign in with Google; we never hold a password. We never ask for your real name, phone, address or date of birth. What we keep is essentially your username and your voting history.

What we collect

  • Your email address — comes with Google sign-in. Used to recognise your account and never shown to anyone on the site.
  • Your username and avatar choice — the public identity you pick.
  • Your votes — which tribune, and when.
  • Your counters — total votes, unbroken day streak, referral count, the moment you earned a badge.
  • Your social handles — only if you enter them. Left empty otherwise.

What we do not collect

Full name, phone, address, date of birth, gender, location: none of it is asked for or stored for membership. Our database has no column that holds an IP address. The one exception is the contact form: if you write to us there, you give us your name and email yourself; they are kept only to reply to you and are never published anywhere.

The infrastructure that keeps the site running (server and security layer) sees IP addresses briefly in its technical logs, as every website does; those logs do not flow into our database.

What is public

Your profile is visible to everyone: username, avatar, vote count, streak, badges and any social handles you added. That is what a ranking means — effort has to be visible.

Your email is not on that list. It is shown on no page, to no user.

Where it is stored

  • Database: Supabase, Frankfurt (Germany) — inside the European Union.
  • Site files: Hetzner, Germany.
  • Delivery and security layer: Cloudflare.

Who it is shared with

Your data is never sold and never handed to anyone for marketing. Only the providers that run the site (above) and Google, which handles sign-in, are involved.

Cookies and browser storage

  • Session — stored in your browser when you sign in. Without it the site cannot recognise you. Required.
  • Your preferences — light/dark, language and layout. These stay in your browser and are never sent to us.
  • Advertising cookies — will apply once ads are live; this page will be updated then, and visitors in the European Union will be asked for consent.

Advertising

There are no live ads on the site today; the visible areas are placeholders. This page will be updated when that changes. In every case, watching an ad earns no votes, points or status.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, and have it deleted. Username and avatar you can already change yourself in settings.

You can delete your account yourself in settings; it happens immediately and cannot be undone. Your email, username, avatar and social handles are permanently removed. The votes you cast remain with no link to you: stand totals are made of those votes, and that support really was given. You can also deactivate instead — your profile is hidden and you can reopen it any time. Questions: [email protected].

Retention

Your data is kept while your account exists. When an account is deleted, personal data is removed; figures that cannot be traced to anyone — such as a tribune total — remain so the ranking stays whole.
